According to the company Quality Policy P.W.O. „EKOBUD”, we continue looking for modern environment-friendly technical solutions contributing, among others, to reduction of biogas emissions to the atmosphere.
Following our research, we have chosen aninnovative method of management and use of a part of the produced biogas, consisting in the biogas purification and compression. It will be possible to use the gas to fuel vehicles (garbage trucks) collecting and delivering waste to the Municipal Waste Treatment Plant (CNG parameters – methane 98%).
This is compliant with the EU regulations imposing an obligation on the member countries to generate minimum 20% of energy from renewable sources by 2020. The solutions being designed and the related technologies have been developed in western countries, such as Sweden, Canada, the USA, and have not been implemented in Poland so far.
Our proposal includes designing a complex installation for degasification of landfill sections together with a biogas purification and compression installation.
The installation proposed by our company is composed of the following elements:
- an installation for degasification of landfill sections and biogas intake
- an electric current generator with a heat recovery unit using biogas from landfill sections
- an installation for purification, compression and fuelling of biogas
THE SOLUTIONS WE ARE PROPOSING
PROVIDE THE TOTAL ELIMINATION OF LANDFILL BIOGAS EMISSIONS TO THE ATMOSPHERE,
THUS CONTRIBUTING TO AIR AND OZONE LAYER PROTECTION.
Installation for biogas purification, compression and fuelling
A GPP system installation will be used to purify and compress biogas. It is a unique proprietary method of biogas purification and enrichment to be used as fuel for vehicles (garbage trucks, buses, etc.), in compliance with the EU standards.
The technology has been admitted for use in the European Union countries.
NOTE:
The entire installation for purification and compression of biogas is installed in free-standing steel containers (not connected permanently to the ground), equipped with insulation ensuring soundproofness at the level of 68 dB at a distance of 3 m from the container.
THE EQUIPMENT TO BE USED IN THE INSTALLATION BEING DESIGNED
MEETS THE REQUIRED PARAMETERS
AND IS ADMITTED TO USE IN THE EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES.
Benefits:
economic:
- electrical energy - for internal needs and to the national grid
- thermal energy - for the plant internal needs
- CNG - for the plant internal needs and for sale
- LPG - for sale
- sale of emissions
ecological:
- reduction of landfill gas emissions to the atmosphere decreasing environmental nuisance of the plant for the surrounding areas
- ozone layer protection
